Corona and its impact on children and their IQ, EQ and SQ

Corona has created an impact on the entire world. Freedom of individuals was at question. There have been times when we can't and still are unable to move freely in streets or anywhere outside our residence. This situation has created an impact on the entire civilisation and the biggest challenge has been the natural growth of  children. A child learns a lot from his social interactions, may these be at a classroom in school, in the playground, maybe even the school bus in addition to the social life in his vicinity and weekend visits to shopping malls or even the time spent with friends and relatives during family functions.

All these elements look like things of the past!

A child's environment comprise different learning aspects like academic, non-academic and behavioural. Full marks to be given to the academic fraternity at schools who did their best under given constraints to ensure that the loss to academic learning aspects of children could be minimised to as much as it could be. Long hours in front of computers, taking classes where many children were not serious or one could hear a myriad of background noise because of the students sitting at different places; ensuring content delivery pace, making children understand and then in addition to this, ensuring that all tests in schools were taken as per the protocol defined by the school.

When students get back to their classes later this year, it will be a big challenge on different aspects. It is stated that basic things like children will face problems in terms of their attention span, behavioral aspects like discipline, seriousness towards academics and managing a time schedule as being at home, refrigerator, kitchen and wash room were always reachable, however, when schools re-open, this could be a big challenge for school teachers.

Nowadays, children also don't wish to be corrected and many a times, parents have supported children, even if they were wrong.

We believe that the coming times will have to be bridged over by a common effort of parents and teachers so that children get back to their learning curve as fast as they can.

We hope children should quickly adapt back to being IN LINE, not just being Online!
